A common concern of math teachers and parents is that students don't retain what they have been taught. The STAY SHARP MATH Skill Sharpener System was designed to help students remember what they have learned and give them they edge they need to realize their full mathematical potential.
Each book contains eight sections. Within each section, there are two review question sets, a quiz, and a cumulative review. The topics covered in the review question sets are the typical topics covered in each of the middle grades. Remember, every school district has their own curriculum and may cover some topics at different grade levels than STAY SHARP MATH. Take a look inside our books to see a list of topics. Fraction review questions are included in every section because teachers have told us that fractions are the number one topic that must be mastered in the middle grades.
In addition to the book resources, students who purchase the a book online or through a fundraiser receive 1-year FREE access to our member website. The website contains additional quizzes and our FAST FACTS game which students use to practice their math facts. Try our Web Resources Demo.
The STAY SHARP MATH Skill Sharpener System is designed to be easily used at home or at school. The system is intended to be used as a review of topics all ready introduced. The detailed solutions are helpful to refresh students' memories. The system is used in four main ways:

Summer Math Review System
Use STAY SHARP MATH two to four times a week for eight weeks. Each week contains two lessons, a quiz, and a cumulative review. Online resources such as our FAST FACTS and Nuts About Math games and our online assessments are also available. Students find the most success when they set a weekly routine. What an easy way to keep math skills sharp over the summer!
Supplementing Math Classwork
Do you need help recalling previously learned math topics? Keep math topics fresh by completing a STAY SHARP MATH section once or twice a week throughout the school year. Track your progress with the quizzes and final test. STAY SHARP MATH will give you the edge that you need to reach your potential in the classroom.

Math Summer School Program
STAY SHARP MATH is an excellent program for middle school summer school. Teachers use the lesson topics to guide their instruction. The lessons and cumulative reviews are used as classwork and homework. The eight quizzes and final test provide ongoing assessment. For a change of pace, use our online games, FAST FACTS and Nuts About Math, to help students improve their fact recall.
